1200 Pound Protein Feeder Details
The 1200lb. capacity hopper is 3/8" thick wall of HDPE UV Protected plastic that will not rot, rust or leak! Our hopper has built in channels that the legs fit into. Adjustable hardware components allow you to adjust the height for conversion from automatic timer feeding in the fall, to gravity feeding protein through the summer months. Our feeder is built to be rock solid, water proof, and resist condensation.
We designed the lid with a loose fit to allow proper ventilation for protein pellets. Our lid system locks the lid down, but allows the hopper to acheive ambient temperature quicker than steel or fiberglass. This helps keep the feed fresh and as free as possible from moisture. The lid has a 2" overlap onto the hopper so water cannot get under it. The Non-Typical hopper only weighs 60 lbs. so moving the feeder even into remote locations is a snap! You don't have to have a truck to move it. Your 4-wheeler and any small trailer will do. We do suggest that you get a buddy to help you raise it and lower the system.
T-Post Foot Pads (Exclusive)! The Non-Typical foot design is completely unique! The feet are designed to except a T-Post through the center of the foot. The feet are large 7" square steel plates. Each foot has a large nut welded to it and a ½" bolt that when tightened secures the feeder to the T-Post. This will not only protect the feeder but keep it level and imobile.
